Dear Ramblewood Homeowners,

March 20, 2020

The Ramblewood Community Board is sending our heartfelt prayers to all affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) and their families and friends.

We know that the amount of coronavirus coverage can be overwhelming with ongoing news. With parks, services, community centers and business closings, it is our hope that our community can extend kindness and thoughtfulness to one another as we continue to find ways to adjust to the sudden changes that have taken place in our daily living.

We also believe that it is important for us to maintain a high level of awareness and to take action to maintain a safe environment that supports everyone’s safety and well-being. As of today, there are no changes to our regular operations as a board, however, there will be no in-person Board meetings scheduled at this time. Our property management Sentry will offer limited office access and our manager, LaShauna will be working remotely during traditional business hours. This is done to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are exploring the possibilities of a teleconference to conduct the association meetings for a later time.

To make things convenient as possible for you, Sentry Management has worked with their electronic payment processor to suspend any one-time fee typically charged for ACH and telephone assistance. Should you decide to sign up for Autopay solution, there are no ACH fees. (Note, should someone want to pay with a credit card, there will still be transaction fees). We are asking that all homeowners make payments through US Mail or electronic payment.

Attached are a few links, advice and resources that may be helpful at this time:

  • CDC Checklist for Individual and Families
  • Be mindful that we serve a community of people with a higher percentage of compromised immune systems.  Someone wearing a protective medical mask is not necessarily sick.
  • Taking care of yourself, your friends, and your family can help you cope with stress. Helping others cope with their stress can also make your community stronger.
  • Things you can do to support yourself:
    • Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.
    • Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. Try to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and avoid alcohol and drugs.
    • Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy.
    • Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
    • Call your healthcare provider if stress gets in the way of your daily activities for several days in a row.

In the upcoming months we plan to update our website with information on the covid-19 virus, pool start date, and the status of our family fun day.  You can reach us at www.ramblewoodhoa.org. Be safe and stay well!

Yours in service,
